Qatar Visa Requirements

The normal document requirements for a Qatar visa are stated in the following list.
  1. Valid Passport - A current valid and signed passport. Passport should be valid for at least six months after your expected arrival to Qatar. Also, you should make sure that at least one complete blank page is available in your passport for stamping the visa. Amendment pages (pages 22, 23 and 24) cannot be used for this purpose. If your passport is going to expire or needs more pages, please obtain new, renew or add pages to your existing passport.
  2. Passport size photo - Two copies of recent (6 months or less old) regular passport size photo. Photos must be clear, and provide proper contrast and white background for it to be approved by the consulate.
  3. A copy of Round trip air ticket/itinerary - The ticket must contain the name of passenger. Electronic tickets are also accepted.
  4. Personal Statement Requesting Visa (for tourist visas) - Please write a personal request letter addressed to the Embassy of Qatar. It should state the purpose of your trip, dates of the visit and list cities to be visited.
  5. Letter of Invitation from company in Qatar (for business visas) - A business letter of responsibility from your business partner in Qatar is required:

  • The letter must be addressed to the Embassy of Qatar.
  • The letter must explain the nature or purpose of business and the duration of the proposed business trip.
  • The letter must state the name as well as the addresses of individuals, departments and organizations in Qatar you intend to visit.
  • The letter must specify the visa validity and number of entries, the applicant is asking for.
  • The letter must be on company letterhead and bear signature/stamp.
  • Please provide a business letter, which includes: (Sample Business Letter)
  • Detailed explanation of the nature of business to be performed as well as duration of stay.
  • Company guarantee of financial responsibility for all travel expenses incurred by you.
  • The letter must be on company letterhead.
  • The letter must specify the requirements of applicant like visa validity and number of entries.    

Additional visa information:
Single entry visa is valid for 3 months from the issue date . It is up to the decision of consulate regarding Visa Validity for multiple entry visas.

SPECIAL NOTE: Normally, you can stay in Qatar for up 30 days at a time. If you wish to stay for longer period, please contact local immigration authorities upon arrival.
