Qatar visa on arrival for 188 professionals

The validity of Qatar visit visa on arrival will be for 1 month and will be issued; if the GCC residence permit of applicant is valid for at least six months.

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has circulated a fresh list of 188 different categories of professional people who could get qatar visit visa on arrival at Doha International Airport. This particular list is only relevant for residents of Gulf corporation council states whose passport are stamped with a valid residence visa.


The validity of this particular visit visa will be for 30 days and will only be issued if the individual's GCC residence permit is valid for at least six months, and the passport must have at least 6 month validity. The individual also need a confirmed return ticket.

The visa on arrival would normally cost QR100 and could be extended for an additional 3 months by paying further fees of Qatar Riyal.100/- for every additional month. But, a penalty fee of QR200 will be asked to pay for every day for the overstay after expiry. This has to be paid at the moment of exit from Qatar. Overstaying may also attract imprisonment.


Apart from doctors, engineers, and businessmen, the modified new list of professionals include journalists, business women, military officers, medical equipment technicians, opticians, broadcasters, marketing agents, bankers, quality monitors, teachers and lawyers.
