How to get Qatar Family Visa

If you work in Qatar, you can easily sponsor your family to come up and live with you. This is completely different from a visit visa as a family visa does not come with an expiry date and your family would certainly have the option to live in Qatar as long as you are sponsoring them.


The family sponsor has to make arrangements his family’s residence permit in advance. The application has to be submitted at the Department Of Labor located along the C Ring Road. The sponsor requires to present the below documents:

-        Passport photographs for the sponsor, the spouse and children
-        Certified originals of children’s birth certificates, education certificates and marriage certificates.
-        Bank statement of six months’ salary
-        Authorization letter from working company

Another alternate method would be applying for a visit visa for the family and subsequently changing it to a residence permit when they arrive.
