Qatar has reopened its borders to fully vaccinated travelers, making it the newest destination to greet visitors with the Jab, the country's tourism department shared with media.

The country has reopened its borders for those international travellers who are fully vaccinated as long as its a vaccine from the country's Ministry of Public Health approved list and has been taken 14 days prior to travelling.

"We are delighted to be able to reopen our doors and extend a helping hand of hospitality to the many vaccinated travelers who can now experience Qatar," said Berthold Trenkel, Qatar's Director of Tourism Operations.

The new travel measures for the country state that tourists and travellers making their way to Qatar do not have to quarantine on arrival if they are fully vaccinated but they do need to have a negative RT-PCR test from not more than 72 hours before travel. This has eased travel not only for international passengers but also Qatar residents and locals.

In the past For 16 months we implemented world-leading health and safety measures to protect citizens, residents and now visitors from COVID19, while opening a number of new hotels, theme parks, restaurants and top attractions. 

Gulf land will allow those who have received the full dose of a Qatari Ministry of Health approved vaccine to enter the country without quarantine, according to Qatar Tourism. Approved vaccines include Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, and AstraZeneca. 

All visitors must have a COVID19 PCR test and register on the Qatar website "Ehteraz" within 72 hours of entering the country. 12 hours before the scheduled departure. 

According to the Qatar tourism, unvaccinated children up to the age of 11 can travel with their vaccinated parents.US travelers can spend up to 30 days in Qatar without a visa. 

In Qatar, which has one of the heaviest vaccination efforts in the world, 65.9% of residents have received at least one dose of a vaccine. and 55.1% consider themselves fully vaccinated, according to Reuters, which is tracking the launch of the vaccine around the world. 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has given Qatar a "Level 3" rating, indicating a high incidence of COVID19. Qatar Airways operated the first flight to fully vaccinate all passengers and crew and marks a milestone on the way to the pre-pandemic era. 

Even so, mask requirements in the country, both indoors and outdoors, remain limited in places such as restaurants, Museums and shopping malls, according to the Ministry of Health, travelers visiting Qatar can plan an adventure to gaze at the stars and go on a camel safari in the moonlight or marvel at the astonishing modern architecture in Doha.
